The Midlife Mud Map

Audio in two parts

Somewhere in the middle years the old map stops matching the ground. Sleep changes. Energy changes. The things that always worked stop working, and nobody hands you a new set of instructions.

The Mud Map is the orientation. Part one is what is happening to you, physically, emotionally and mentally. Part two is where it is showing up: your body, your work, your patience, the people you live with.

It is audio, in my voice. Nothing to print, nothing to fill in. You can listen while you are doing something else, which at this stage of life is usually the only way anything gets listened to.

For years, I ran a bridal-design business with an ease I never thought to question. Precision and restraint were simply how I worked.

Then the ease went. Overwhelm and anxiety arrived. Brain fog, broken sleep, a creeping dread with no source I could name.

By the time I understood that this was perimenopause, I had already dissolved the business, and with it the identity I had spent my adult life building.

The years that followed were disorienting. Useless was the word that kept returning. Without purpose. No map for any of it.

What I found in the end was not a grand reinvention. It was something smaller and steadier.

Nothing rebuilds until the ground is firm again. Steadiness first. Meaning, decisions and direction come afterwards, and they arrive more easily once a woman is no longer trying to think clearly from inside the fog.

That is what the Mud Map is made of.

The thing I needed and did not have.

$47 when it opens.

It is not open yet.

I am remaking it, and I would rather you had the good version than the fast one.

Free. A few minutes, and it shows you what you are carrying.
